This template will do the conjugation of a standard Ancient Greek omega ending verb in the present tense. It does not handle contracted verbs such as φιλέω, nor -μι verbs such as δίδωμι.
This template has three required parameters:
- {{{1}}} is the main stem (the principle part minus the ω) and will have an acute on the ultimate syllable (of the stem).
- {{{2}}} is the stem without accentuation.
- {{{3}}} is the stem with a recessed accent. If the ultimate syllable (of the stem) is long, it will have take a circumflex. If the ultimate syllable is short, the penultimate syllable will take an acute.
There are a number of optional parameters:
- {{{form}}}: Decides the overall form of the template. The default is "full" and displays all the information seen on the naked template. "sp" removes the dual, showing only singular and plural forms. "dep" is used for deponent verbs, and removes the active portion, showing only middle/passive.
- {{{title}}}: Decides the text displayed when in the hidden form. The default is the principle part form (active indicative first singular). The default behaviour for this parameter is to link, however if the entered value is non-linkable, it will not link it.
Also, every form can be specifically customized in an entry. For example, if the active subjunctive first singular form specified by the template is λύω, but the actual form used for the word is λυῶ, this would be accomplished with the syntax: AS1S=λυῶ. The cells are each named with an abbreviated form of their name in the following order: Voice, Mood, Person, Number. So:
- Active indicative first singular = AI1S
- Passive optative third plural = PO3P
- Imperative forms use C (think command). I was already taken by indicative. Thus:
- Active imperative second dual = AC2D
- Infinitives have only two characters: active infinitive = AI
- Participles are sorted by gender and have three characters: active participle feminine = APF
