Documentation for Template:hit-decl-ar.
This page contains usage information, categories, interwiki links and other content describing the template.

Purpose

This template creates inflection tables for Hittite r/n-stem heteroclites neuter nouns.

Broad transcription

In order to add the broad transcription table, the stem of the word excluding the final -n must be set on the first parameter. The nominative forms should be imputed after abs_sg= and abs_pl=.

Examples

For uppeššar: {{hit-decl-ar|uppeš|abs_sg=uppeššar|abs_pl=uppeššār}}

For uttar: {{hit-decl-ar|utta|abs_sg=uttar|abs_pl=uttār}}

Transliteration

To create the transliteration table attention must be payed to the ending of the stem. If the it ends in a VC sign or a logogram, then it must be set after the parameter tr_VC=. However, if it ends in a CV sign, then the stem ending after the parameter tr_CV=.The nominative forms should be imputed after abs_sg_tr= and abs_pl_tr=.

Examples

For e-eš-ḫar: {{hit-decl-ar|tr_CV=e-eš-ḫa|abs_sg_tr=e-eš-ḫar|plural=no}}

For up-pe-eš-ša-ar: {{hit-decl-ar|tr_VC=up-pe-eš|abs_sg_tr=up-pe-eš-ša-ar|abs_pl_tr=up-pe-eš-ša-a-ar}}

Cuneiform

The cuneiform table is created automatically when the transliteration stem is added.

Irregularities

To modify the content of a cell of the broad transcription due to irregularities, the following parameters are used:

|abs_sg=
|abs_pl=
|erg_sg=
|erg_pl=
|gen_sg=
|gen_pl=
|dat_sg=
|dat_pl=
|all_sg=
|abl_sg=
|ins_sg=

For the one to one transliteration and cuneiform, _tr and _cu are simply added to the back of the parameter. For words without a number the parameters singular=no and plural=no should be added.
