Usage

Use this template for the following special cases of back-vowel Hungarian nominals ending in a consonant and using -ak as their plural suffix (low-vowel words):

  • the word has two accusative variants (especially common for adjectives ending in ɒʃ, , , and )
álmos (sleepy) →‎ álmost or álmosat (both variants will be displayed, separated by a new line)
  • a vowel is dropped in the essive-modal case:
jutalom (reward) →‎ jutalmul (the -o- is dropped and -ul is added)
  • the word ends in two identical consonants and the case endings that start with the same consonant are attached with a hyphen (it occurs only in the case of proper nouns: surnames, given names, geographical names, brand names, company names etc., though rarely)
Ujj (surname) + -jal (with, assimilated from -val) →‎ Ujj-jal
(compare the common noun ujj (finger), whose equivalent form ujjal drops a consonant)

For any other case, use {{hu-infl-nom}}.

The template is added under the ====Declension==== header.
