There are some redundancies in these templates. The plurals of 1st declension stems in -ias and -is and 4th declension stems in -ius are the same, and are what would be generated for -i-as.

The templates listed for 3rd declension -is (f.) are redundant, but more convenient.

The roles of the templates for pattern 1 and for stress not shown can be swapped round by interchanging their two stem parameters.

The vocative singular can be overridden in all templates for stems in -as.

Arbitrary declensions can be generated by calling {{lt-decl-noun-unc}} for a single number and {{lt-decl-noun}} for the two numbers, and the other noun declension templates call one of these two to format the table. These may be used directly for nouns with unique declensions, such as šuõ (dog), sesuõ (sister) and plural-only dùrys (door), the only pattern 2 feminine in -is.
