1. You can optionally turn on desctree for a term by adding -d to the end of the language code, for example kk-d for Kazakh (on a real page it doesn't add the extra space)

2 For loanwords into non-Turkic languages that come from a specific Turkic language, use the -d feature. For example, if you want to show a Bulgarian word that comes from Ottoman Turkish, here's what you should do: go to the page of the Ottoman Turkish word, add the Bulgarian word as a descendent, and then use ota-d on this template so that the Bulgarian word automatically shows without you needing to add it manually to the proto turkic page. This keeps information consistent across different pages

3. See example at bottom of page for example usage

4. On a real page, empty branches disappear. Periods are used to stop them from disappearing here for demonstration purposes
