Remove dot and ucfirst
Can someone tell me how to remove the final dot and ucfirst, such as I describe at WT:GP#Form of templates. Mglovesfun (talk) 14:52, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
Meaning of third parameter
The third parameter is a gloss of participle or of what participle it is?--Dixtosa. 18:34, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
- Firstly — Please fix your signature to link more prominently to your user-page or talk-page.
- Secondly — Neither; it's a gloss of the lexeme. For example, if the inflected form is a participle, then the lexeme is presumably a verb, so the gloss would most likely take the form “to ___”.

There doesn't seem to be a crucial difference between these two templates, and they are both used for the same things. So I think merging them would be better, while adding the missing functionality of one to the other. See WT:GP#Singulative help for prior discussion. —CodeCat 11:41, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
- Any merge must be effected carefully so that transcluded instances are not affected. (Or at least so that transcluded instances of
{{deftempboiler}}aren't affected. Preferably also{{form of}}, but it's been edited in a way that affects transcluded instances without those pages ever thereafter being checked for still-accuracy, so further bad edits wouldn't be the end of the world.)
