I've significantly modified this template to improve its syntax and to allow for the listing of common cross-references to major Japanese-Engligh character dictionaries in addition to Japanese-specific encoding standards. Currently, the template is not in widespread use, so the changes shouldn't affect too many articles.--Dcmacnut 21:37, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process (permalink).
It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.
Not used as often as it theoretically could be. But why would anyone want this? Surely these dictionaries have their own indexes? And the encoding information is probably only useful to programmers (if at all in this Unicode-dominated day and age), who definitely wouldn't come to Wiktionary to find out. —suzukaze (t・c) 05:14, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
