@Wyang This templates performs the worst out of your other accel. templates. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 00:05, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
- You mean this edit? The code should be
{{subst:ko new||] {{gloss|word taken from another language}}|l=y|ph=외:래어|h=外來語|he=]}}
. You seem to have used multiple brackets and unspecified |he= parameter (which makes the definition of hanja identical to the word definition). Wyang (talk) 00:10, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
- Thanks. I noticed errors cause the template to go into loops and time out. The Chinese or Japanese one will just produce incorrect results (rather quickly). --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 00:52, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
- Yes, this was written before Lua, when interpreting each Hangeul syllable was not possible. It relies on User:Wyang/ko-u and User:Wyang/ko-u/2 (which is why it is sooooo slow). Now that Lua does it millions of times easier, it needs to be rewritten sometime... Wyang (talk) 00:57, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Please add a hanja only entry capability, if you don't mind, e.g. to create 熱力學 (열역학) for Korean only. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 05:37, 15 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
- There is
{{ko new/hj}}
. eg.
{{subst:ko new/hj|열역학|]}}
but a lot of the words are shared with Japanese or Chinese, and {{ja-new}}
and {{cmn-new}}
already allow co-creation of Korean. Wyang (talk) 05:46, 15 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
- This means for existing Japanese or Chinese entries one needs to recreate one of them to get Korean. It would be great to have separate hanja and Hán tự (for Vietnamese) functions. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 05:51, 15 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
- I'll explore
{{ko new/hj}}
. Thanks. Can we have {{vi new/ht}}
with that? :) --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 05:54, 15 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Wyang
Could you please add a couple of things to the template?
For new verbs and adjectives: (even without the option "irreg=y" is fine, I will add to the documentation that it should be changed manually)
====Conjugation====
<!-- verbs -->
{{ko-conj/verb}}
<!-- adjectives -->
{{ko-conj/adj}}
Also, if it's OK, "alt=" for alternative forms, I often have to add the North Korean spellings - I often have to use "syn=" then copy/paste, change the heading from Synonyms ro Alternative forms. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 10:45, 7 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
