- Maybe better not standardize subcategories. Languages are different: "English names from Germanic" means Germanic derivations minus Old English, "Norwegian names from Germanic" might mean Germanic minus Old Norse. The parameter may also take words like "from coinages". There's no way to tell how Japanese names should be divided. People creating subcategories should define them separately, only most of the time I'm too lazy.--Makaokalani 11:23, 4 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
