This template is being deprecated. Please do not use it. The new template for translations is {{trans-top}}. “top” is the ISO 639-3 language code for the Papantla variety of Totonac, so this template will likely be repurposed as a language template.

This template was used to colour-code translation tables. The replacement template for translations is {{trans-top}}. For other lists, use {{rel-top}}, {{top2}}, {{top3}}, or {{top4}}.

Not such a good idea: using an ID in this template.

The template is used several times on many pages. This causes the ID "top" to be used as many times on those pages, while each ID should be unique over the whole page. Why exactly does this template contain an ID?

Since the parameter is boldened with a ;, designed for a description list, if one enters a : into the gloss, a strange efect is seen, as can be seen in e.g. frequency. I think it looks not bad, but is this a wanted effect, or should the category prefix be left out, or the template redesigned, or... henne 10:12, 5 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
