• As most Gaelic adverbs are created by putting the particle gu in front of an adjective (eg gu sònraichte especially), these should be linked both to the particle and the relevant adjective like this:

{{head|gd|adverb|head=] ]}}

which gives:

gu sònraichte

• Similarly, adverbs created by putting the particle gu h- before adjectives beginning with a vowel (eg gu h-àraidh especially) should be linked like this:

{{head|gd|adverb|head=]]}}

which gives:

gu h-àraidh

• In both cases, the adverb should be listed on the adjective's page in the Derived terms section.
• Adverbs which do not follow this pattern, eg còmhla together, need only the basic inflection line:

{{head|gd|adverb}}

• Compound adverbs (eg an ìre mhath especially) should be linked to all the words involved, eg:

{{head|gd|adverb|head=] ] ]}}

which gives:

an ìre mhath

In this case, the adverb should be listed in the Derived terms sections for the noun ìre and for the adjective math.

• Inclusion of comparative forms isn't necessary, because in the rare cases when these are irregular they should be given at the entries for the relevant adjectives.
