Native speaker of American English, agus oileanach Gàdhlig Albannach, with very rudimentary Spanish experience.
The fine nuances of the meaning of language, and the etymology that drives changes in these nuances, are a long-standing fascination of mine. My goal as an editor is to supplement my hobby as a reader by filling in the gaps where Wiktionary has lacked a word or etymology that I sought out, or tangentially encountered. (I'm a Wikimedia editor with ADD. Tangents are my way of life.)
If you believe I've edited something in error, please feel free to discuss it with me, especially as it pertains to non-English entries! I am a researcher with a penchant for language, not a linguist with a penchant for research. I rarely have real-world experience of my own, and am simply gathering and evaluating information from other reference materials, which are often decades or even centuries old, and may not accurately represent a modern understanding of the language or its etymology.
Specific linguistic focuses of mine include botany, cuisine, and human geography; with additional interest in other natural sciences like zoology, other cultural topics like emotions and mythology, and idioms or proverbs that have no English cognates.
