The term "Yaroto" (pronunciation: just as you like because nobody else was alive when this was not discovered!)
A "Yaroto" is more than nothing. Even this is misleading. 'Nothing' could be defined as a void or anything before the big bang but even this definition does not constitute a "Yaroto". For a "Yaroto" to exist before the big bang, would require that there was no big bang at all, not ever. The fact that the big bang happened must by definition mean that there was something there before it. Call it a singularity if you like but that sounds like soemthing infinitesimally small and a "Yaroto" isn't even that.
So is it a void? Well lets be clear. A void is a serious emptiness, an empty space or nothingness. But that definition assumes that the 'space' around does exist otherwise there would be no void. A void by definition needs 'our universe' in contact wuth its outer edges at least. A "Yaroto" on the other hand doesn't exist at all in any universe because if it did it wouldn't be a "Yaroto".
I hope that has cleared that up.
