- Hi I still think that ā is more appropriate to be used, as similarly ē and ō can be used to write Dari Persian. e.g gōšt گوشت, sēb سیب. Long o and long e has been shifted to /u:/ and /i:/ in Iranian Persian wheareas they are presereved in Dari Persian. To have a better romanization solution for Dari and Persian, vowels a, e, o, ā, i, u, ē, ō are more suitable.--Companionship 15:32, 10 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
