Hi there. It is a bit late now, but I have been meaning to ask you for some time if the form P.officer was a mistake. Also, in your subpages, we like to use {{conjugation of}}
these days rather than {{form of}}
e.g. {{conjugation of|pellettizzare||2|s|past historic|lang=it}} (Italian example).
A blank summary is better than "creating Polish entries". Then we can see the content that's going in. Equinox ◑ 16:40, 4 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- OK, I'll put a blank summary next --Pofficer 16:41, 4 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- I do that, and it produces a default summary "Wikipedia python library". Sorry. --Pofficer 10:09, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- Couldn't you change it? Maro 18:15, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi there. There is just the small formality of requesting permission to run as a bot, and then getting a sysop to set the bot-flag on your user id. This prevents "Recent Changes" getting flooded with large numbers of new words. The Beer parlour discussion is as good a place as any to ask. (Only bots that we don't know about actually get blocked.) SemperBlotto 10:15, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- I've added a section to the Beer parlour discussion. Any thing else I should do, please tell me. --Pofficer 10:23, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- Yeah, fuck the beer parlour. Wiktionary:Votes/bt-2011-09/User:Pofficerbot for bot status. — — 12:02, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- My bot already has bot status. I think "fuck the vote" would be a more apt comment. --Pofficer 12:35, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- I don't think we've ever had a bot just get "official" bot status with no vote. It was given to you early because of the amount of testing you do, to accomodate other editors - not because you're special. I was an editor here for years before I started running my bot, and I still had a vote for the status. You've been here a month. :P — — 12:48, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- Oh, I didn't know that. So, what do you suggest I do? --Pofficer 12:51, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- If you're a cocky bastard like me, vote in support of your bot. Otherwise, just keep doin' what you're doin'. :) — — 12:56, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- I'm not denying I'm a cocky bastard, so I'll vote. And I'll keep doin' what I'm doin' too. Thanks for the chirpy message. --Pofficer 12:58, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- Haha chirpy, what a perfect anticipation of the request I just thought to make of you. Could you translate this so I can use it as an example sentence on koliber? "The hummingbird is the only bird that can fly backwards". — — 13:01, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- I would probably say "Koliber jest jedynym ptakiem mogącym latać do tyłu". But usually I don't talk about birds in Polish. --Pofficer 15:24, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- Tusen takk :) — — 15:29, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- De nada, tio. --Pofficer 15:31, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi there. I notice that in the conjugation tables for Polish verbs (e.g. czytać) the conjugated forms are not wikilinked. I find it nicer (and better for our users?) if they are wikilinked. This shows us what forms are missing, and the sight of red links turning blue gives one confidence in the bot! Is it a lot of hassle to change them? SemperBlotto 11:00, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- I don't know. I will have a look. --Pofficer 11:01, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- The page to look at is Template:pl-conj-ai. --Pofficer 11:27, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
budujano, drukujano, drukujanie, and other. These are incorrect. Where did you get these forms from? Do you have any lists with all forms? Maro 18:36, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

- Thanks Maro. I'm glad for the other eyes checking the progress of the bot. I'll examine every single case, and make any necessary corrections to the bot in order to limit future errors. --Pofficer 07:28, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- If there are other similar ones that weren't listed, I can do a search for them later. Remember to also fix the imperative form, incorrectly listed as third-person singular present tense --Pofficer 07:40, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- What about these? Maro 18:12, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- They're at WT:RFD waiting to be deleted. I didn't forget them. --Pofficer 18:22, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- Here's another verb for deletion: Special:WhatLinksHere/nagradać Maro 18:47, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- Ah man, that is so annoying. --Pofficer 20:39, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- That was of course a typo for Special:WhatLinksHere/nagradzać
Target is red-linked. Is this OK? SemperBlotto 16:44, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- I wanted zweryfikować, not zweryfikowować. Thanks, buddy, I'll rewire my bot. The other ones can be deleted --Pofficer 16:47, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Your bot seems to be creating entries that point to nonexistent English sections. Please use |lang=pl in {{form of}}
when the target section is Polish, not English. --Yair rand 08:03, 8 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
- Fine, I can do that next--Pofficer 08:47, 8 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
