IPA and Czech u

Hello. What makes you use "ʊ" instead of "u" to transcribe Czech u? My source is http://www.phil.muni.cz/jazyk/files/fonetika/, and http://www.phil.muni.cz/jazyk/files/fonetika/ipa-pro-cestinu.pdf. --Dan Polansky (talk) 07:46, 27 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

ποταμακιού

Hi - back in March you created ποταμακιού and changed the declension table. In fact the genitive forms of most "-άκι" forms are almost non-existant. Google counts: ποταμάκι=60k, ποταμακιού=21. Please can you source the quotation you added.   — Saltmarshσυζήτηση-talk 06:01, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Less than ideal edits

1) diff: The quotation added is unbefitting a dictionary, involving a gossip about a living person for no good reason. --Dan Polansky (talk) 11:42, 18 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

2) diff: Heads up: we put pronunciation after etymology, per WT:EL. Not a big deal, though; can be fixed by a bot. --Dan Polansky (talk) 07:25, 26 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
