Your subpages

Didn't see them, but the deletion is probably because you created multiple pages to feed your ego while saying "I'm not active on Wiktionary". We aren't in love with spammers or self-promotion. Equinox 00:31, 21 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

So the Wiktionary community is content to delete for punitive social reasons? It'd take one extra click to see it's not spam. Self-promotion is generally a concern of the main space (at least by other WM project guidelines) and regardless of the fact that user pages are precisely self-promotion anyway I hardly think contact information and a statement of my inactivity qualifies as excessive. Indeed, in my boredom procrastination I added a goofy little aesthetic flourish to my WP page which I decided to iterate as an extension of cross-wiki account unification. But again, maybe standards on WP are significantly different but I've never heard of anyone taking issue with a few lines on a sandbox-like user subpage. The deletion wasn't actually a big deal, but I find this explanation troubling. --Rhododendrites (talk) 00:54, 21 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
