@RichardW57 Reflexively reverting me isn't a helpful response, because all you'll do is end up with lots of errors on the page. It doesn't matter if you're in the process of removing it - it shouldn't have been added with the code it was given. Theknightwho (talk) 23:26, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
- It shouldn't have been added at all. Direct your complaints to Octahedron80. And given that it's being removed anyway, changing the code just complicates clean-up. @Benwing2, who was leading the clean-up. --RichardW57 (talk) 23:33, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
- @Theknightwho @RichardW57 What is the context here? I remember discussing with Richard that Thai Mon should be merged back into Mon but I'm not sure what got reverted. Benwing2 (talk) 23:36, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
- @Benwing2 It was just Richard's userpage, but if the code's being removed the issue is moot anyway. Theknightwho (talk) 23:39, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
- @Benwing2: @Theknightwho was going around changing the unagreed-upon code mnw-tha to the unagreed-upon code mkh-thm. The first code seemed to have formatting working for it. The remaining work was to integrate the various forms of the word for 'island', whose presyllable is inconsistently recorded in different phonetic forms and sometimes corresponding spellings, and doesn't always exist. There are no references for the information about if from the Thai side of the border. (Documenting a moving target is always messy.) I suspect there had been arguments with the now-banned 'Dr Intobesa' about it. Once that lemma (sensu stricto) is integrated, the next step is to check that no new 'Thai Mon' terms have been created in Wiktionary. --RichardW57 (talk) 00:35, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
