Wiktionary redirect preferences

Also, I see that you have come to us from Wikipedia. Please be advised that some policies and preferences are different here than there. In particular, we discourage the creation of redirects, and instead have separate full pages for alternative spellings of words, if those spellings are relatively common.

Dear EncycloPetey,
        I apologize if the redirects are not the preferred practice in Wiktionary, and would have no objection if you wanted to set up the information in the preferred manner. Also, if you might be able to point me to an example of this, with an explanation, then I would certainly be willing to set up the definition accordinlgy. Thanks for the welcome and the advice.

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Scottperry~enwiktionary that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
