Hi,
Just letting you know that all languages names with "bahasa" will probably be deleted. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:42, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
- Anatoli T. They should NOT be deleted!! They are legit phrases that are used when mentioning languages! ** laki-laki keren itu (yang terbaik dalam segala hal) ** 01:54, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
- Yes, they are correct phrases, some of them I added myself long ago but they still may be deleted. bahasa Malaysia can redirect to Malaysia. You can add usage examples on the lemma entries. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 02:04, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
- May I ask you why?? ** laki-laki keren itu (yang terbaik dalam segala hal) ** 02:05, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
- Bahasa + country/ethnicity name doesn't add any real value to the dictionary. It works similarly in Thai, Lao, Khmer, Burmese, etc, not just language names but also country names,. Most are now cleaned up and editors focus on adding dictionary words not predictable collocations. If you know Malay, you can add missing real words instead, not those you can build by adding components. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 02:14, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
- (Missing words such as the ones at Wiktionary:Requested entries (Malay) and Wiktionary:Requested entries (Indonesian). —suzukaze (t・c) 02:17, 4 May 2017 (UTC))Reply
- Anatoli T., suzukaze: Okay, I understand. One thing to point out is I'm actually Indonesian, so I'll work on those language's words instead. Terima kasih for informing me! ** laki-laki keren itu (yang terbaik dalam segala hal) ** 02:19, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
- You're welcome. Some compound words can be acceptable but you may have to prove they are idiomatic. One more thing, there may be a vote on merging Malay and Indonesian under "Malay" with Indonesian words, which are different from Malaysian marked with regional labels. Not sure if it's bad news but the vote hasn't started and the outcome is unknown.--Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 02:32, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
In case you're curious, it happens automatically because of code at Module:jv-translit. (And if there are any problems with it, that's where they'll have to be fixed.) —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 00:38, 10 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Good morning @Metaknowledge, what suspected that I was Awesomemeeos? Was it because of similar behaviour between us? If so, tell me and I will try to improve. I was just new here, and I feel confronted that you would block me just like that! 😮 ** laki-laki keren itu (yang terbaik dalam segala hal) ** 18:26, 11 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
