- Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
- Check out Language considerations to find out more about how to edit for a particular language.
- Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
- If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
- If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.

Urdu Nouns

Thanks for telling me. You have to add the transliteration using |tr= (e.g. at مذکر (muzakkar) that I just made). Perhaps we could add support for vowel markings eventually. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करें • योगदान) 23:52, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Urdu templates
Hi,

Stop use {{etyl}}
It is deprecated. Use {{der}}, {{bor}}, {{inh}}. It is less writing, more information, and looks better. Palaestrator verborum sis loquier 🗣 14:42, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

Urdu transliteration
Hi,
Thank you for your Urdu contributions. Perhaps you should consider a more consistent and standard transliteration? WT:UR TR is a good start but it may need tweaking. E.g. you have transliterated صلیب as "ṣalīb" but the use of "ṣ" may not be justified, since it's just a regular "s". Regular previous contributors used a transliteration very similar to Hindi. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 22:09, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
