Hello,
Please don't remove cognates or 'red links'. The red simply means that the word doesn't yet have its own page. The page needs to be created. They are valid words and valid cognates. Deleting the 'red links' means that you're deleting reminders to create the page, as well as making the existing pages less rich. Tuahtme (talk) 09:08, 9 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Unattributed copying

In case you haven't noticed, I removed most of your entry for ꠌꠦꠙ꠆ꠐꠣ ꠙꠤꠕꠤꠛꠤ. You obviously copied it from English flat-earth, complete with an English quote and a translation table- even the typo in the translation-table header. Not only does that make you look bad, it's technically illegal: copying content from anywhere on Wiktionary without attribution is a violation of our Creative Commons license. If you have a legitimate reason to copy something, you can say in the edit summary where you got it from. That way it will be possible to find out who contributed it from the revision history of the original page. Not doing that could get you blocked. Chuck Entz (talk) 01:52, 12 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate the feedback. It wasn't my intention to violate any rules. I'll make sure to provide proper attribution in the future. Primarily, I contribute to Sylheti Wiktionary (my entry for this word: incubator:Wt/syl/ꠌꠦꠙ꠆ꠐꠣ ꠙꠤꠕꠤꠛꠤ). As far as I remember, I created these pages (for example en:wikt:ꠌꠦꠙ꠆ꠐꠣ ꠙꠤꠕꠤꠛꠤ following en:wikt:flat-earth) to test/check/create necessary relevant templates, modules and categories (Category:syl:Flat earth) in English Wiktionary, and that was my sole intention, but not the content itself. I appreciate your understanding. I will be more careful in the future. -- ꠢꠣꠍꠘ ꠞꠣꠎꠣ (talk) 23:12, 12 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Bengali-Assamese spellings

Do you think we should include Sylheti forms in Bengali-Assamese script as alternative forms? Rodrigo5260 (talk) 21:27, 2 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

The inclusion of Sylheti forms in different non-Sylheti scripts could be considered to better represent linguistic diversity. --ꠢꠣꠍꠘ ꠞꠣꠎꠣ (talk) 22:11, 2 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
