Nepali is an Indo-Aryan language common to the country Nepal. It derives from Sanskrit.
Nepali's direct ancestors are: Khasa Prakrit (kha
), Proto-Indo Aryan (inc-pro
), and so on. It takes significant amounts of loanwords from Sanskrit.

Nouns follow standard practices as per WT:ELE. For declensions, there are three declension template, {{ne-decl-noun}}
