My previous bot request having died on the vine due to policy complications, I'm starting over with a narrow definition and a simple request.
The ScsRhymeBot account will be used to:
- add Rhyme: links to the Pronunciation section of pages that don't have them
- add "breadcrumb" backlinks to the English:Rhymes pages (see for example Rhymes:English:-ɛmɪt and Rhymes:English:-eɪzɪŋ)

Let's see if we can get Paul to set the bot flag :-).

Comments:
- Sorry, I need to bring up meta-talk again: the previous bot request died because you asked to "wait to hear from some others". AFAIK, there is no "others" when it comes to such discussions, especially since Eclecticology is absent. I think it's a pitty this excellent opportunity passed away. — Vildricianus 16:23, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- What happened to the Good 'ole days, when after weeks getting approval on the beer parlour, you then had to wait some random amount of time forwarding the request to meta? :-) --Connel MacKenzie 07:44, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- They've been replaced by the good new days, when you have to wait some random amount of time for Eclecticology or Paul G to rise from their languor and process the request. :-) —scs 17:41, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- I suggest you go to meta. That'll be faster. — Vildricianus 17:44, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, I did, at your suggestion, a week ago. They said that we had two bureaucrats who I should ask instead, so here I sit. (In a few more days I'll ask them again.) —scs 17:54, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Lordy! Should we set Paul G up with VNC] to walk him through it? I do not understand the delay. --Connel MacKenzie 19:19, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Paul is simply not very present and probably not reading his talk page. No big deal, as long as he gets to set Dvortygirl's bureaucrat flag. — Vildricianus 19:22, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Update: Dvortygirl is now a bureaucrat. — Vildricianus 19:40, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, all. This has been an interesting data processing problem: 1 bit transition in 12 days, for an impressive 960 nanohertz. :-) I'm away from home at the moment, but I'll start the bot running in earnest next week and let you know how it goes. —scs 21:34, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
