Oppose

  1. Oppose Robert Ullmann 07:11, 29 March 2009 (UTC) "because I work fast and I'm not crazy about the idea of going back and fixing things that I've already done" operator is way too careless, explicitly stating that he will just plow ahead if issues are not resolved by others quickly. If this is permitted, someone will sooner or later have to correct all of this proposed bot's entries. An operator who states a priori that is unwilling to "fix things I've already done" is in direct violation of bot policy: "I will un-do any edits which consensus decides were unwanted." Ric: it is imperative, and required, that those things be sorted out first, that you yourself ensure that they are sorted (not hoping they'll be "nipped in the bud"), and that you are both willing and committed to running additional bot edits to correct any problems or make other needed changes. This is not negotiable. Robert Ullmann 07:11, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
I've been pretty careful to make sure all my preloads are fixed if any errors show up in them. Some of those errors have been pretty major, and I've handled them all quite well. I even deleted a whole batch of uploads to fix one stress pattern. So the issue of correcting problems isn't particularly... not valid, that's not the word I'm looking for. But it's somewhere around there. — opiaterein10:57, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
And the assertion that someone will have to fix all the bot's entries is greatly unappreciated, as the number of entries that you're referring to is incredibly small compared to all the entries the bot uploads. — opiaterein10:59, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
