User:TheDaveRoss for checkuser

  • Due to a new policy overlapping with my being gone for a while my CheckUser tool got turned off. I have since returned and submitted my ID to WMF, but in order to make things easier for the Stewards I would like the community to reconfirm (or deny) that I am someone who should have access to the tool. Here is a link to the previous vote, thanks for stopping by :) - DaveRoss 03:16, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

  5. Support I don't know if I'm actually eligible to "vote" on Wiktionary, but the thoughtfulness and initiative Dave has exhibited gives me confidence enough to support him. Bastique 05:05, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes, you are eligible to vote, as are all regular contributors here, as well as other WMF projects. We tried to set a "minimum 50 contributions" but that excluded too many of our neighbors (especially other language Wiktionaries that, like-it-or-not, are affected by votes here.) --Connel MacKenzie 05:59, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
  6. Support - Based on Connel's statement of eligibility and Cary's reasoning. Would it have been better if Dave had confirmed sooner? yes. But stuff happens. Note: If the regulars here support, I'd hate to see this fail for lack of 25, so my support will help ensure that doesn't happen. If the regulars here oppose, my support will be washed away, so it will work out either way. ++Lar: t/c 11:12, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Comment: Please note that his previous vote passed but he stepped down when the new restrictions were added (that he has graciously agreed to, now.) --Connel MacKenzie 21:23, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

(Note: This editor had no contributions at time of voting, though (s)he did remain active for a few days afterward, and contributed a few dozen edits in that time. Given the nature of this vote, that may or may not be an issue. —RuakhTALK 00:00, 1 March 2008 (UTC))
