  1. Abstain How does this distinguish sign language from common hand gestures? Also wouldn't it be wise to include at least one citation of use? I don't know much about languages for the deaf, but I could give you an example of a cultural sign that's stated incorrectly in Lonely Planet, and likely any publication that borrows from that.
