  4. Support. We long needed another South Asian administrator. inqilābī inqilāb·zinda·bād 23:06, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
  5. Support User:Bhagadatta would without a doubt make good use of the administrative tools. User:Bhagadatta very knowledgable about Konkani, Middle Indo-Aryan, Sanskrit, Proto-Indo-Iranian and Proto-Indo-European. An admin who is knowledgable about Dravidian languages is certainly necessary. He has also been an excellent mentor to other contributors. If it ever comes down to either one of us having to be chosen for the role in light of my own admin vote that is also underway, then I'd prefer to have the role be given to him. 8. Support This is exciting!!!!! Can't believe I didn't see it before. Bhagadatta will be a great admin, and I would greatly appreciate more South Asian admins to reduce my work in that area, seeing as I am recently quite busy off-wiki. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 01:24, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Oppose

  1. Oppose Still has a lot to learn on the basics of linguistics. Does not have the need to admin tools. --{{victar|talk}} 09:40, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
I highly doubt that you are familiar with him at all. -- inqilābī inqilāb·zinda·bād 20:45, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
  2. Oppose Reverts additions of Proto-Indo-Aryan to etymologies and dismisses them as "unnecessary." Purposely skipping steps in etymology chains shouldn't be considered a best practice by an admin. DJ K-Çel (contribs ~ talk) 02:22, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
That has no bearing on adminship. -- inqilābī inqilāb·zinda·bād 20:45, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree and also PIA terms are too similar to Sanskrit words, so even I feel they are unnecessary. PII -> Skt. can also be easily identified and skipping PIA isn't like skipping Sauraseni Prakrit in Hindi etymologies, because Sauraseni terms are sometimes quite important if the Skt. word has changed significantly. 🔥शब्दशोधक🔥 03:48, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

Abstain

  1. Abstain. DonnanZ (talk) 16:04, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
  2. Abstain - A useful editor, but I don't see any evidence of admin-type actions. Does he patrol recent changes? SemperBlotto (talk) 16:08, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
@SemperBlotto: Yes, most probably. Most of the times, User:Bhagadatta edits almost all the entries I create and the last edit on the entry is his. I believe this is possible only because he patrols recent changes. - द्विशकारःवार्त्तायोगदानानिसंरक्षितावलयःविद्युत्पत्त्रम् 17:21, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

  4. Abstain. I see no reason to stand in the way. This user has been here for three years and hasn't done anything in RFD which I would frown on. — Dentonius 15:43, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
