Which dialect form to lemmatize

I feel like we have an unwritten rule that when a term is attested in several dialects, we prefer to lemmatize the Koine form and make everything else an {{alt form}}, e.g. we lemmatize Koine Ἐρυθρὰ θάλασσα (Eruthrà thálassa), and make Attic Ἐρυθρὰ θάλαττα (Eruthrà thálatta) and Ionic Ἐρυθρὴ θάλασσα (Eruthrḕ thálassa) alternative forms. Do other people share my impression that this the de facto state of affairs, and if so, shall we formalize it in writing here? —Mahāgaja · talk 11:46, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
