Rationale

Let us hear one from the supporters of the proposal. --Dan Polansky (talk) 09:40, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Vague objection

This proposal cannot be clearly thought out if several people, including the vote's very author, are conditionally opposed. As such, it's not entirely clear what a passing or failing vote would mean. In particular, if a supermajority appears to support the use of this template only for certain languages, does that imply its use is proscribed in English? What consequence does supporting the use of the template even have, considering that it's already in use and that a passing vote would not, by any means, tie contributors' hands in requiring them to apply it to articles? (As a rule, we do not require editors to use templates because the steep learning curve would severely raise the barrier to contribution.) DAVilla 12:32, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
