aisa
From Proto-Finnic *aisa (compare Estonian ais), most likely borrowed from Proto-Baltic *ajesa,[1] from Proto-Indo-European *h₂oyHsos. The word has also been compared with Erzya ажия (ažija),[2] which may be a borrowing from Proto-Iranian *Hay(H)ša- (from the same aforementioned Proto-Indo-European word).
