Cognates include Lithuanian užmir̃šti, mir̃šti (“to forget”), maršùs (“forgettable”), Sanskrit मृष्यतॆ (mṛ́ṣyate, “to forget, to neglect”), मृषा (mṝṣā, “in vain, invalid, wrong”), Old Armenian մոռանամ (moṙanam, “I forget”) (with ṙ corresponding to rs).[1]
