From English arsenic, from Latin arsenicum, from Ancient Greek ἀρσενικόν (arsenikón, “yellow arsenic”). Ultimately a doublet of rëzëgojë (originally *ërsingë), which seems to have been borrowed from Ancient Greek directly, as well as a doublet of klor (“chlorine“).
