Inherited from Ottoman Turkish عيناً (ʿaynen, by eye, by sight, exactly, without difference),[1][2] from Arabic عَيْنًا (ʕaynan), adverbial accusative of عَيْن (ʕayn, eye).[3] By surface analysis, aynı (same) +‎ -en. Compare Azerbaijani eynən (exactly), Uzbek aynan (exactly) and Uyghur ئەينەن (eynen, exactly).
