     Aftur á móti fann ég allmikið af rauðberjalyngi á nákvæmlega sömu slóðum og burstajafninn fannst, þ.e. í ca. 200 m hæð yfir sjó í brekkunum á milli Efri og Neðri Kolahjalla og vestan Brunnlækjar.

     On the other hand, I found considerable cowberry in exactly the same area as the stag's-horn clubmoss was found, i.e. around 200 m above sea level on the slope between Upper and Lower Kolahjalli and from the west of Brunnlækur.

     These include, e.g. northern spleenwort, which here is known in one place and then only two plants; water knotweed, which in the Flóra Íslands in counted in two ponds, but is now probably only in one place; the grass species heath-grass, which is only found in Herjólfsdalur and survived the eruption in the Islands; lesser sea-spurrey, which is on very few Breiðafjörður islands; and stag's-horn clubmoss, which only grows in one 4 metre-squared patch in the East Fjords, but is common in the countries around us.

     Yfir 500 tegundir jafna vaxa víðsvegar í heiminum, en aðeins fimm þeirra hér á landi. Þeir eru lyngjafni, mosajafni, litunarjafni, skollafingur og burstajafni.

     Over 500 species of clubmoss grow far and wide in the world, but only five of those here in Iceland. They are interrupted clubmoss, lesser clubmoss, alpine clubmoss, fir clubmoss and stag's-horn clubmoss.
