dagen (“the day”) + efter (“after”) + piller (“pill”)
SO and SAOL have "dagen-efter-piller," but "dagen efter-piller" seems more common online. A rule often adhered to is that if one of the components of a compound word has a space in it, the compound word keeps the space and adds a hyphen before or after the component with the space. Besides "dagen efter," the component with the space might be a first and last name or a company name with a space in it, for example.
