From frith- +‎ tuidecht. Delenition of th to t before t and degemination of the resulting t-t to single t are expected phonologically and reflected in the spelling frituidecht. It is not known whether the morphologically transparent spelling frithtuidecht reflected a novel pronunciation using the cluster .
