SO appears to not include the person sense (or only include it very vaguely), perhaps from wanting to separate gästvänlig from the less common gästfri. The 1929 SAOB entry only gives the person sense. "Han är gästvänlig" has four times as many hits on Google compared to "Han är gästfri" as of writing.
