From idiots (“idiot”) +‎ -isks. Probably not derived as such in Latvian, but borrowed and adapted from another European language.

1. idiotic (afflicted with severe mental underdevelopment; typical of idiots)

2. (colloquial, offensive) idiotic, stupid, foolish

3. (colloquial) stupid (ugly, useless)
