Compare Kipchak (kataγan, common chicory; endive),Yakut (kı̈tı̈an, common juniper), Turkmen gataňňyr (a particular plant), Tatar (qatı̈rgan, hawthorn) (dialectal), Kyrgyz (qatrang, a particular berry plant) (dialectal). First attested in c. 1395.[1]
