From Latin logaoedicus, from Ancient Greek λογᾰοιδῐκός (logăoidĭkós), from λόγος (lógos, “speech, prose”) + ἀοιδή (aoidḗ, “song”) + -ῐκός (-ĭkós, “-ic”).
