Hinde (1904) records muunda of “Ulu dialect” (spoken then from Machakos to coastal area) and mundani of “Nganyawa dialect” (spoken then in Kitui District) of Kamba as equivalents of English garden, listing also “Jogowini dialect” of Kikuyu muganda as their equivalent.[1]
