1. (law) procuration (permanent proxy to sign documents on behalf of a company)

• In the Finnish legislation enacted before 2010 the term is in the form prokura (5 occurrences) and thereafter in the form prokuura (1 occurrence).
• prokuura is the form preferred both in Nykysuomen sanakirja and Kielitoimiston sanakirja, but prokura is still in widespread use. The longer form was probably introduced because it goes closer to the original Latin pronunciation.
• The Finnish term prokuura is more strictly defined than the English "procuration".
