Inherited from Old Slovak vjedno. By surface analysis, univerbation of в (v) + єдно (jedno). Cognate with Carpathian Rusyn вє́дно (vjédno). Most likely unrelated to Kashubian wiedno and Slovene vedno, but compare Serbo-Croatian уједно / ujedno, Russian and Ukrainian заодно́ (zaodnó).
