けろけろ or ケロケロ • (kerokero) 

1. (onomatopoeia) ribbiting; chirping of a frog
2. (onomatopoeia, music, informal) with robotic auto-tune (Can we verify⁽⁺⁾ this sense?)
   • 2013 September 4, “「ケロケロボイス」だけじゃない～声をもっと活用しよう~ボコーダーとオートチューン、トーキングモジュレーターって何？”, in Digiland ‎, 島村楽器:

     本来(ほんらい)は「少(すこ)し音程(おんてい)が外(はず)れた箇所(かしょ)を目立(めだ)たないくらいに修正(しゅうせい)しましょう」…という目的(もくてき)だったのですが、古(ふる)くは1998年(1998ねん)のシェールの「Believe(ビリーブ)」（これシェール・エフェクトとも呼(よ)ばれたそう）、2000年(2000ねん)あたりからはダフト・パンク、T-Pain(ティーペイン)といったアーティストが、音程(おんてい)を「極端(きょくたん)に補正(ほせい)した」いわゆる「ケロケロボイス」を多用(たよう)し今(いま)に至(いた)っています。

     Honrai wa “sukoshi ontei ga hazureta kasho o medatanai kurai ni shūsei shimashō”…to iu mokuteki datta no desu ga, furuku wa 1998-nen no Shēru no “Birību”(kore Shēru efekuto to mo yobareta sō),2000-nen atari kara wa Dafuto Panku, Tī-Pein to itta ātisuto ga, ontei o “kyokutan ni hosei shita” iwayuru “kerokero boisu” o tayō shi ima ni itatteimasu.

     Although it was originally for the purpose of "fixing off-pitch places subtly…", since Cher's "Believe" of 1998 (apparently this was also known as the Cher effect), and since the 2000s, artists, such as Daft Punk and T-Pain, have often used the so-called "croaking voice", where pitch is "corrected to the extreme", up to this day.

     ケロケロ声(ごえ)やロボット声(ごえ)、あるいはノイジーなローファイ声(ごえ)など、声(こえ)に色付(いろづ)けすると楽曲(がっきょく)の表現(ひょうげん)がぐっと広(ひろ)がります。

     Kerokero-goe ya robotto-goe, arui wa noijī na rōfai-goe nado, koe ni irozukesuru to gakkyoku no hyōgen ga gutto hirogarimasu.

     Adding effects to the vocals, such as croaking voice, robot voice, or a noisy lo-fi voice, etc., greatly widens the expression of a piece of music.
