Etymology
Literally means “provided with testicles”, from Proto-Indo-European *h₁en-h₃orǵʰi- (“uncastrated, male (ram or buck)”) and cognate with Ancient Greek ἔνορχις (énorkhis), ἐνόρχης (enórkhēs), ἔνορχος (énorkhos, “uncastrated, with testicles; he-goat”). For the constituents see յ- (y-), որձիք (orjikʻ).
