Etymology
From *տի- (*ti-, “of the habitation”) + եզերք (ezerkʻ, “borders”). The first component is also found in տի-կին (ti-kin) and տէր (tēr) and is inherited from Proto-Indo-European *déms, the genitive of *dṓm (“house”).[1][2][3][4][5]
Alternatively, from տի- (ti-, “un-”, a prevocalic variant of տ- (t-)) + եզերք (ezerkʻ), literally “the unbounded”.[6][7][8][9][10]
