Borrowed from Aramaic אוּכָּפָא / ܐܽܘܟܳܦܴܐ (ʾukkāp̄ā) from which also Hebrew אֻכָּף (ʾukkāp̄), from Akkadian 𒌑𒂵𒁁 (ukāpu, saddlecloth).
