ألصق

أَلْصَقَ • (ʔalṣaqa) IV (non-past يُلْصِقُ (yulṣiqu), verbal noun إِلْصَاق (ʔilṣāq))

1. (transitive) to attach, to stick, to glue, to connect, to press
   • 1962, Ghassan Kanafani, رجال في الشمس [Men in the Sun]:

     هٰذَا صَوْتُ قَلْبِكَ أَنْتَ تَسْمَعُهُ حِينَ تُلْصِقُ صَدْرَكَ بِٱلْأَرْضِ.

     hāḏā ṣawtu qalbika ʔanta tasmaʕuhu ḥīna tulṣiqu ṣadraka bi-l-ʔarḍi.

     It's the sound of your own heart which you can hear when you press your chest to the ground.
