1. (of a cloud, etc.) to drop down and cover a whole area; to hang low

     北(きた)の海(うみ)から冷々(ひやひや)としたうら寂(さび)しい風(かぜ)が吹(ふ)いて来(き)て、空(そら)にはどことなく冬(ふゆ)のやうな底重(そこおも)い雲(くも)が低(ひく)く垂(た)れ込(こ)めてゐた。

     Kita no umi kara hiyahiya to shita urasabishii kaze ga fuite kite, sora ni wa doko to naku fuyu no yō na sokoomoi kumo ga hikuku tarekomete ita.

     A cold, lonesome wind blew in from the north sea, and a bottom-heavy cloud that was somehow like winter hung low in the sky.

     uraraka na hi ni niwa e dete, atatakai harukaze ni fukarete iru to, kaette atama ga omoku naru to ka itte, o-jō-sama wa metta ni soto e mo denai. Tada tarekomete uttōshisō ni haru no hinaga o kurashite iru.

     Miss Mishima says that going out into the yard on a bright day and letting the wind blow on her, on the contrary, makes her head feel heavy, so she rarely even goes outside. She just shuts herself inside and spends the long days of spring being gloomy.
